The studio is designed for a photographer and a printmaker who work collaboratively. The main elements in the work space are a two-thousand pound printing press and a work bench, which also serves as a layout table for client meetings and flat file storage.

The structure is a conventional wood frame clad with a metallic champagne colored corrugated metal. The eaves are built with exposed cedar outriggers to add the rich warmth of a natural material.

With minor alterations, this building could also be used as a secondary apartment. The digital studio upstairs can easily transform into a loft-bedroom, and the downstairs can be outfitted with a shower and full kitchen.
